To all the Doctors, Nurses, hospital staff, ambulance, police, firefighters, EMS, schools, school boards around the world, teachers, educational assistants, childcare workers, veterinarians, grocery and retail store workers, food and beverage workers, restaurant workers, farmers, truck drivers and public transportation workers. The health and social workers, retirement and older age home workers. Mail and postal service workers, gas station attendants, funeral homes, churches and also the news anchors for keeping us updated on what’s going on in the world.
Also the Canadian Armed Forces, Military and all the other folks continuing their work in this field even through this Covid – 19 pandemic. All the volunteers volunteering at this time as well. To everyone who has a gift that they are sharing with us in the world to help us become better people to not only ourselves but to everyone else in the world. And all the other many Heroes, folks whom I didn’t name. I know there are more of you out there. To everyone who is listening and doing their part during this pandemic, you are all truly amazing and caring. I love you all.
My name is Lynn and I am writing this letter to thank all of you for sacrificing your lives, giving your time and efforts, your talented gifts to help others with, your patience and your love at this sad and difficult time. I can’t begin to imagine what you are all going through. I am doing my best and my part by staying at home. To be honest, it is driving me crazy but I am trying my best to do my part to keep not only me safe, but my family, friends and all of you safe as well.
My Mom and Dad, friends and other folks have told me many times before that I should get a job working in the Hospitals and to also become a nurse. And I have always said, “No.” Not because I didn’t want too but because their job to me is one of the saddest, most painful, depressing jobs in the world. It has its ups and downs but I wouldn’t be able to do it. My empath abilities would take over and I wouldn’t be able to handle the jobs that you all do on a daily basis.
You are all brave, inspiring and the real true heroes for putting your lives on the line for all of us people and animals in the world. You all are the heart and soul of Canada, the USA and the rest of the world. There is no way that any of us would make it without you.
Thank you for keeping us safe, keeping us fed, transporting our food and supplies to us, keeping food stocked on the shelves in the supermarkets and the grocery stores and helping our elderly and our families. For helping our animals in the wild, on the streets and in our homes. For making sure they are taken care of when they need us the most and need our assistance. The world needs you but to be honest, we do not deserve you.
So I thank you all for your love, patience and commitment to help us all during these difficult times. Stay safe wherever you may be. And smile with all your heart so that the world can see how bright it really is. I love you.
From Your Friend in Writing: Lynn Watkins.
